Refund Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
Edda is a one-time purchase of a digital product. If Edda works as described, the purchase is final. Once a license has been activated or the software has been used, it is considered used and is not refundable, except in the situations listed below.
Purchases made before October 2, 2026 are covered by the refund terms that were in effect when they were bought.
All sales are final
Edda is delivered digitally and can't be returned. Purchases are not refundable once the license key has been delivered and activated, or the software has been installed and used, except in the situations listed under When we will issue a refund.
When we will issue a refund
- Duplicate charge: you were charged more than once for the same purchase.
- Billing error: you were charged the wrong amount.
- License never delivered: you paid but never received a working license key or download, and we can't resolve it.
- An Edda defect we can't fix: Edda doesn't work as described because of a bug in Edda itself, on a supported platform and operating system version, and we can't provide a fix or workaround within a reasonable time after you contact support. Support must confirm that the defect is in Edda.
- Unauthorized purchase: contact us right away. We'll work with you and the payment provider.
What is not covered
Refunds are not issued for problems outside Edda's control or for reasons unrelated to how Edda works, including:
- Antivirus, anti-malware, firewall or other security software blocking, quarantining or deleting Edda or its installer. The Install Help page explains how to fix this.
- Operating system protections such as Windows SmartScreen, Smart App Control, Microsoft Defender or macOS Gatekeeper.
- Workplace, school or other IT-managed devices where you don't have permission to install software.
- Unsupported operating systems, devices, or hardware below the published system requirements. Please check them before you buy.
- Problems caused by third-party software, cloud sync services or file storage (OneDrive, Dropbox, iCloud, Google Drive and similar).
- Network, internet or download issues on your end.
- Changing your mind, no longer needing the software, or not having time to use it.
- Missing features that weren't advertised, or features listed as planned or in development.
- Purchasing by mistake after the license has been activated.
Purchases through app stores
Purchases made through the Apple App Store, Google Play or the Microsoft Store are handled by those stores under their own refund policies. We can't issue refunds for app store purchases. Please request them from the store directly.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] within a reasonable time of your purchase and include:
- your order number,
- the email address you used at checkout,
- your operating system and its version,
- a description of the problem, with screenshots.
For a defect, we may ask for logs or for you to try some troubleshooting steps before we make a decision. Most problems can be fixed, and we would much rather get Edda working for you.
Chargebacks
If something is wrong with your purchase, please contact support before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most issues can be sorted out quickly by email, while a chargeback can take weeks for the bank to settle.
Your legal rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your country or state.
